OFFICE TECNICIAN (TYPING) (PERMANENT - INTERMITTENT) DIABLO RANGE DISTRICT / HOLLISTER HILLS STATE VEHICULAR RECREATIONAL AREA / HOLLISTER, CA

The reporting location for this position is the Diablo Range District Office located at Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area, 7800 Cienega Road in Hollister. This position will work under the direction of the Administrative Officer II.

This position is an integral part of the District Administrative team and serves as the support for the accounting, contracting, concessionaires and reception functions at the District including processing of vouchers in Fi$Cal, eROC’s, Wex, petty cash, mail, and purchasing documents. The duties and responsibilities require a high level of clerical skills, calculations, tracking, reporting, reconciling, initiative and good judgement.

This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as Telework Eligibile - Office Centered.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.
• The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

TYPING CERTIFICATE:
State deparments will honor typing certificates issued within the last fo9ur years, certified from a (5) minute typing test that meets the CalHR requirements, with a minimum of 40 WPM (words per minute), and proctored either virtually or in person.
