Cyndx is an Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing (NLP) platform that offers 'search and discovery' solutions for entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, and acquirers. Our subscription-based solution helps enhance capital raising, acquisitions, and other business opportunities. Our platform hosts data on over 20 million companies world-wide and is used by some of the largest financial institutions in the world.
As a backend engineer at Cyndx to join our growing team in West Palm Beach. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-based applications using Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll work alongside senior engineers and product managers to build scalable backend services that power our platform.
This role will be located in our West Palm Beach office. Please note that we are currently working on a hybrid model and are in the office for four days and remote for one day each week. Remote work is not a possibility in this role.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of Python-based backend services
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following object-oriented design principles
Assist in deploying applications to GCP environments such as Cloud Run, App Engine, or Cloud Functions
Participate in building and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data access and transformation
Participate in team code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate closely with team members across engineering, QA, and product
0–2 years of backend software development experience using Python
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with Python web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django
Exposure to GCP services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, or App Engine
Understanding of RESTful API design
Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Coursework or internship experience with cloud-native or distributed systems
Interest in working in an agile and fast-paced environment
